Presenting the Season I Section Leaders for Angelus Winter Guard

Section Leaders:
Guard Captain- Bri Griffin(A)
Guard Lieutenant- Alexis Wright
Guard Lieutenant-Chris White

We only have one Age-Out this season:
-After marching all 6 seasons with Angelus, this will be Bri’s final season with The Guard. We are very proud to have had her and wish her the best of luck in the future.

FMA2010 - Season 1

After 12 seasons competing in World Class of FMA, The Wolves Musical and Visual Arts has decided to move all of our active ensembles to FMA2010. Alex Yoder, director of the previous FMA decided to expand the circuit and expand how things were done. So now we start a new circuit, which means a completely clean slate.

Angelus, a collaborative effort between The The Wolves Musical and Visual Arts (Owners of The Wolves Drum and Bugle Corps, and Wolfs Percussion Theatre) and PastPresentFuture Enterprises(Owners of The Titans Drum and Bugle Corps, and Alexander Presents), is a Winter Guard that now competes FMA2010’s Indoor World Class for Color Guards. After limited success in FMA, filled with many near finals appearances and nearly medaling in the final season, the staff is pleased to be starting over.

The Guard came so close to making their mark during their 5 short seasons in FMA. Seasons 10 and 11 were heartbreaking because they were so close to making finals. And then once we made it, the goal became climbing further and medaling. And we came within inches of Medaling in the final season, so it was a bit of a thrill. That being said, we’re excited for the potential to have even better success in FMA2010.

Angelus WG will continuing their tradition of performing to things writing by myself, this season performing to music written based on a poem I wrote a few years ago. The title of the poem, song, and this season’s show is ‘Wait’.

We had a lot of success performing to songs by Evenflow, so we thought there was no point in breaking from that tradition. ‘Wait’ is a very powerful poem and we look forward to putting the pieces together for the performance this season.

Finally a Finalist

This season Angelus Winter Guard finally broke into the FMA IW Finals. In their first two seasons The Guard came within inches of making Finals, so this is a huge step foward for the ensemble and I could not be happier. Out of 12, Angelus finished in 12th so their is still room for improvement. But, having now taken this step, I am confident that next season and beyond will be filled with great things for them.
There will be a more in-depth review of the season coming soon.

Season XII

Angelus Winter Guard is returning to FMA's IW for their 3rd season.

Angelus, a collaborative effort between The Wolf Enterprises(Owners of The Wolves Drum and Bugle Corps, and Wolfs Percussion Theatre) and PastPresentFuture Enterprises(Owners of The Titans Drum and Bugle Corps, and Alexander Presents), is a Winter Guard that competes in FMA's Indoor World Class for Color Guards. In Season X, the guards first ever competitive season, Angelus finished in 16th, barely missing Finals. In Season XI, the guard would once again be within inches of making Finals, finishing in 15th.

We've come close these first two seasons, and it's been great. We're hoping that this season we finally make the leap and get into Finals. Angelus has been one of our more successful units and we're hoping that trend will continue.

Angelus WG will once again be performing to a song by Evenflow. The song is entitled 'Shadow of Myself'

We've had two good seasons so far, and they've both been with really beautiful yet powerful songs. We're hoping that this season will be even better. 'Shadow of Myself' is a great song that Evenflow does really well, and we're hoping to do it just as well if not better.

Post-Season: Season XI

Angelus Winter Guard had a strong finish this year, their 2nd in FMA competition.

They spent the majority of the season in the top 14-15, occasionally breaking into the top 12.
At semi-finals their run would end, as they placed 15th.

The staff is still extremely proud of the hard work they've put into this season and we're all looking forward to next year when we continue this already great tradition that ha been started and look to finally break into Finals.

Announcements and information for Season XII will be released sometime next week.

Competition of Unspecified Identity - Results

Angelus Winter Guard continued their second season of competition in FMA's World Class December 14th, 2009.

The Guard competed against 18 other IW Guards at 'Competition of Unspecified Identity' hosted by Las Reinas.

Angelus WG scored a 66.710 and finished in 11th.

The Guard has been performing on a much higher level than we could have imagined. They are definitely showing the world that last season was no fluke and they are here to be competitive in World Class.
The Guards Equipment score was 4th best at the show last night, and their Visual Movement score was 2nd!

Angelus WG is currently ranked 18th in World Class. But they definitely still have a shot at Finals, being barely a point out of 14th.

The Guard is definitely better than they were last season. They are doing an excellent job competing this season, and performing in general. The Staff could not be more proud of them.

Angelus WG is currently ranked 11th in World Class, meaning they are in position to make Finals for the first time.
