Angelus Winter Guard continued their second season of competition in FMA's World Class December 14th, 2009.
The Guard competed against 18 other IW Guards at 'Competition of Unspecified Identity' hosted by Las Reinas.
Angelus WG scored a 66.710 and finished in 11th.
The Guard has been performing on a much higher level than we could have imagined. They are definitely showing the world that last season was no fluke and they are here to be competitive in World Class.
The Guards Equipment score was 4th best at the show last night, and their Visual Movement score was 2nd!
Angelus WG is currently ranked 18th in World Class. But they definitely still have a shot at Finals, being barely a point out of 14th.

Las Reinas Invitational - Results
Angelus Winter Guard continued their second season of competition in FMA's World Class December 12th, 2009.
The Guard competed against 9 other IW Guards at 'Las Reinas Invitational' hosted by Las Reinas.
Angelus WG scored a 63.470 and finished in 8th.
The Guard is definitely better than they were last season. They are doing an excellent job competing this season, and performing in general. The Staff could not be more proud of them.
Angelus WG is currently ranked 11th in World Class, meaning they are in position to make Finals for the first time.

Opening Day - 3rd Annual Winter Wonderland Invitational Results
Angelus Winter Guard started their second season of competition in FMA's World Class Sunday, December 6th, 2009.
The Guard competed against 11 other IW Guards at '3rd Annual Winter Wonderland Invitational' hosted by Artic Blast Winter Guard.
Angelus WG scored a 58.310 and finished in 8th.
While the score was lower than last seasons first show, The placement was better. This is a good start for The Guard as they enter only their second season in FMA.

Season XI
Angelus Winter Guard is returning to FMA's IW for their 2nd season.
Angelus, a collaborative effort between The Wolf Enterprises(Owners of The Wolves Drum and Bugle Corps, and Wolfs Percussion Theatre) and PastPresentFuture Enterprises(Owners of The Titans Drum and Bugle Corps), is a Winter Guard that competed in FMA's Indoor World Class for Color Guards during Season X. They had very great success, nearly making it into Finals.
Angelus WG will be performing to the song 'I Believe' by EvenFlow, an indie band from South Georgia that Co-Caption Head TJ Woolfolk was once a member of.
When TJ first played this song for me, I knew immediately that it could be translated into a very powerful performance for an Indoor Guard. And now we finally have a guard to test that theory on. I'm sure that they will perform this wonderfully.

HOME SHOW
Saturday November 21st, 2009, Angelus WinterGuard hosted their first FMA IW Home Show, The Heavens Gate Invitational.
4 other World Class Guards attended the competition, as well as 2 Open Class, and 8 A Class.
The Wirewomen took first in A Class, scoring a 92.425.
Guard of the Valley won Open Class with a 89.140.
Angelus WG placed 3rd in World Class, scoring a 82.555.
The past 2 shows that Angelus has competed in, they have posted perfect scores in the Effect Performance Caption. They were the first IW Guard to do so this season. Congrats to the Guard.
The Guard is currently ranked 15th in World Class, just 3 spots shy of a FMA IW Finals Spot. This would be a marvelous achievement for Angelus in their first season in FMA. Hopefully they can perform at a high enough level to pass the 3 guards ahead of them and make it into Finals. Either way, this season will go down as a HUGE success for the first year ensemble, and I look forward to next season with extreme amounts of anticipation.

The Guard competed against 4 other IW Guard at 'Totally Tiki' hosted by Aloha.
Angelus WG scored a 73.400 and finished in 3rd.
Yet another excellent performance by The Guard. Only a few days removed from winning their first trophy in this inaugural season, it was great to see them performing at such a high level.
Angelus took second in Performance Effect, Movement, and Equipment.
Angelus Winter Guard currently ranks 18th overall in World Class.

On Friday, November 6th, 2009 Angelus Winter Guard continued their first season in FMA.
The Guard competed against 1 other IW Guard at 'Strikingly High Stakes IX' hosted by White Strike.
Angelus WG scored a 69.870 and finished in 1st.
While it was a small show, The Guard is still happy to have won their first FMA World Class Show. Hopefully this confidence boost will lead to better things this season.

On Thursday, October 29th, 2009 Angelus Winter Guard continued their first season in FMA.
The Guard competed against 5 other IW Guards at the 'Alpha Contest of Champions' hosted by alpha.
Angelus WG scored a 61.770 and finished in 5th.

The Competition of Coolness - Results
On Wednesday, October 28th, 2009 Angelus Winter Guard competed in their 2nd FMA Competition in IW.
The Guard competed against 20 other IW Guards at the 'The Competition of Coolness' hosted by The Unstoppables.
In their second FMA competition, Angelus Winter Guard scored a 59.950 and finished in 16th.
It has been a tough week for practices, as weather greatly interfered with our Tuesday rehearsals as well as the FMA show schedule. But The Guard is rested and will certainly put on a better performance tonight.

Hyperion Halloween Classic - Results
On Monday, October 26th, 2009 Angelus Winter Guard competed in their first FMA IW Competition.
The Guard competed against 19 other IW Guards at the 'Hyperion Halloween Classic' hosted by Xpression.
In their first FMA competition, Angelus Winter Guard scored a 59.050 and finished in 15th.
While this was a disappointed result for the guard, it is only the beginning. They have been working non-stop, since returning last night in the hopes of doing much better Wednesday evening.
I have faith that the Staff and the Guard will do something incredible once the finished product is in place and put out on the floor.

Since day one it has been my hope to start a World Class Guard to compete along with the Corps and Percussion Ensemble's. We had initially planned to do so for Season VII but chose to take a few years and relax and properly plan for this endeavor.
